Patch testing
As we open back up, government guidelines require patch tests for Microblading if you are a new client or fall under one of the categories below:
Have had a positive Covid-19 test in the past
Have had the Covid-19 Vaccine
You have not had a treatment in more than 6 months
If you are currently taking new medication
Why do we patch test?
Patch testing is important and imperative so that we can ensure you are not allergic or have new allergies to the pigments I use in my microblading treatments.
When to do a patch test?
Patch tests must be carried out within minimum of 24hours of a treatment. If you have had the covid-19 vaccination then we are advised to wait 2 weeks before patch testing you.
How does patch testing work?
I will do the patch test behind your ear, which you must leave on for 24/hrs. It will only take a moment and I will send you home with your medical information to fill in, while you wait for you patch test results.
How do you know if you have had a reaction?
You will know you have had a reaction as the skin will begin to itch, become red and there will be some discomfort. Though this is rare, it is still very important to have the test. If you have no reaction within the first 24/hrs, then you are ready to do your treatment.
All patch tests are carried out at the Ashley Kay Beauty Studio - 8 Thorpe Road, Norwich, NR1 1RY
